IEA International Course on Epidemiologic Methods 2010

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This is an intermediate level residential course. The participants should already have some experience of epidemiology and have already completed some form of introductory course. It will include lectures, computer-based analyses (using the Stata package), exercises, discussion sessions, and practical experience in the design of a research proposal. The course will be of interest to epidemiologists, public health professionals, statisticians, and clinicians. Priority will be given to IEA members. Participants must attend the entire course from 8am Saturday 3rd to noon Wednesday 14th April.

  • Writing and publishing epidemiological research

Application

Applicants will be notified of decisions by 1st December 2009. Do NOT make any travel arrangements before you have been selected as a participant, received an official invitation letter, and had your visa confirmed.
Note : Women are encouraged to apply, and no problems are anticipated in obtaining visas.

Fees

Candidates are expected to find their own financial support for course fees (including accommodation, and meals) of US$1,000 for a single room or US$800 per person for a shared twin room (for both options there is a US$100 discount for IEA members). The course is already heavily subsidized and unfortunately
NO financial assistance (of any sort) is available. Accommodation reservations will be arranged after candidate applications have been accepted.
