WORKING WITH GOVERNMENT

CPHR has been commissioned by a variety of government and non-governmental agencies and other organisations and institutions to conduct specific research or provide expert technical advice (often as members of advisory groups and committees). The work has generally been in CPHR core areas of occupational and environmental health, public health surveillance and non-communicable disease epidemiology for organisations such as: the Ministry of Health, Worksafe NZ, Accident Compensation Corporate, Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand, Marsden Fund,  Wellcome Trust, Cancer Society of New Zealand, the New Zealand Fire Service. Studies have also been carried out for international organisations such as the US National Institutes of Health and International Agency for Research on Cancer.
