Michelle (Shelley) Gray

Michelle Gray has been working as a Māori Research Assistant at the Centre for Public Health Research since 2003 mainly in the area of recruitment and data collection. She is currently working on the Motor Neurone Disease case control study and the Pesticides in Children Study. Michelle is interested in Māori Health and in improving the health and well- being of all New Zealanders by reducing inequalities and developing strong and effective policy based on sound research. Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Policy & Women's Studies (Victoria University) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health (Massey University). Michelle has also been assisting with tutoring for the Master of Public Health's International Public Health papers and helping with any Tikanga issues. Michelle's main Iwi affiliations are Ngāti Porou, Tainui, Ngāti Hei & Ngāti Maniapoto.
